Waiting for the other shoe to...fit.

When I was a child, my feet were long and narrow, and it was hard to find shoes that were long enough without being too wide. Britt's feet are the same way. So the first time Penny's foot became visible during my ultrasound, I knew I'd soon be giving birth to Little Bigfoot.

(When I saw those toes, I thought, "Yep, that's my baby.")

Now Penny's toes are pushing up against the insides of her shoes (which I hoped would fit until 18 months), but the next size up is giant! I have been searching for shoes and the cute styles I want are not available in the size we need. Grr, Argh. The longer we go in her current pair, the more stunted her feet might become.

So, I guess it's on to the boat sized clown shoes for us? I wonder if this is how it's going to be when she's in Jr. High.

You could always stick with her current shoes and follow the lead of the ancient Chinese.

I always wished for small narrow feet.
